My Testimony of God's Salvation, Nadejda Bonchtchera

I live in Russia, in the city of Mitischi, closely attached to Moscow, the capital of Russia. In July 1996, at the age of 42, I worked as a translator during a Christian conference in Moscow. At that time I was a typical product of a communist society, that came to an end and left people full of uncertainty and fear for the future. In the mornings they explained the Bible. In one of the messages they spoke about the importance of the human mind, and that the mind of every human is earthly, fleshly, vain, fallen and corrupt in its opposition to the truth and to God. I don't know what happened to me at that moment, but I was pricked in my heart, pierced to the very depth of my being, and I cried.

What was it? It was the greatest wonder in the universe I believed. The wonderful One, full of love and compassion found me and delivered me out of the authority of darkness. My sinful life, which I fully recognized, was full of dissatisfaction with money, education, position, pleasures, family, even kids. I was ashamed of my tears, but these were tears of gratitude and love for Jesus, who entered into my heart, bringing immense happiness and release.

In the gospel of John the Lord Jesus said, “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free” (John 8:32). How can you know the truth? In Acts 8:30-31 there's one of the Lord's disciples, Philip, who asks an educated Ethiopian, who reads the Bible, “Do you really know the things that you are reading?” And he answered, “How could I unless someone guides me?”

There is a ministry in this age, based on the apostles' teaching, that guides me into the reality of the Word. Throughout the ages those who loved God saw the pieces of the giant jigsaw puzzle called the Bible. By the end of times God raised up two seers of the divine revelation who came from China. Their names are Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. They saw the thread, “the trunk” of the Bible, called God's economy, His plan to distribute Himself into chosen people, just to make them part of His eternal expression, called the New Jerusalem (Ephesians 1:10; Revelation 21:2). Again and again He calls, “Come! And let him who is thirsty come; let him who wills take the water of life freely.” (Rev. 22:17). Who can resist this loving voice? He called me to be trained in His truth, and I came to the Full-Time Training in Moscow for three semesters, and now I'm in the Anaheim FTT for the last term. What's ahead?

“No mortal tongue can e'er describe

The freedom of the soul,

When passed beyond all earthly bribe

To God's complete control

All things are His, yes, life and death,

Things present or to come,

In Christ he draws in peace each breath,

In Christ he finds his home.”

(Hymns #73)
